Home

For my family, with gratitude

Home

Wherever there are strings, cups, stories to tell,
let us be home

Wherever there is one of us, or seven, or two,
let us be home

Let us be near and let us be far
Let us learn how to love, day by day

Let us find harmony
and then let us teach the world to sing
With one voice

Let us grow old and let us be born
and reborn

It is said that pain shared is half the pain
and joy shared is double the joy

But in our multitudes,
pain can subdivide
into pieces as small as a sliver

And joy can build like a wave
that carries us

From the farm to the city
From the prison to the garden
From brokenness to wholeness
From my heart to yours

For generations.
